Nola has worked in the tourism industry for over thirty years across both regional Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne. These years of experience have allowed her to passionately communicate the visitor experience, enthuse with stories from this fabulous country and assist in taking that product to market.
Nola’s most recent role was to develop the strategy to market the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel through trade networks in both domestic and international markets. Previous roles have included Zoos Victoria and the National Trust of Australia (Victoria).
Nola brings to LATS a wide diversity of skills to work with both Western and Eastern markets. This includes the understanding of cultural differences in Asian markets from India, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia through to Japan and Korea and being able to apply this to both product development and sales.
Nola has written strategies for individual attractions and multi-site organisations such as Zoos Victoria and the National Trust of Victoria. She has researched and developed feasibility studies for the Department of Primary Industries, City of Melbourne and assisted Tourism Victoria with the early development of their Indigenous Tourism collateral.
Nola has served on several tourism boards throughout her career including; Yarra Ranges Tourism, Western Melbourne Tourism, Puffing Billy, Cultural Tourism, Victorian Tourism Operators Association (VTOA), and Tourism Alliance. She has mentored graduates for the Melbourne Tourism Industry Leadership Program and for the Australian Tourism Export Council.
She holds a life membership of the Victorian Tourism Industry Council and has been awarded with Outstanding Contribution by an Individual by the Australian Tourism Export Council Victorian chapter.
